Document on the philosophy of the Malaysian family to be published soon: Annuar
KUALA LUMPUR: A document regarding the interpretation of the Malaysian family philosophy will soon be released by the Prime Minister’s Department and the Information Department, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Tan Sri Annuar Musa(Photo) noted.
Yesterday, when he first appeared on Bernama’s “Bersama Annuar” program on Twitter Spaces, he said the documentation was aimed at making Malaysians more aware of the Malaysian family philosophy.
“In general, the Malaysian family is an approach taken by the Prime Minister to evoke the feelings of unity, patriotic spirit and concern among us.
“Not only (between) government and citizens, but also (between) ordinary citizens so that we can instill a more harmonious and better culture for our country,” he said.
He added that the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia and the Prime Minister’s Department last week drafted clear guidelines on Malaysian family philosophy.
While discussing the topic “The Malaysian Family … Finding Common Ground? Annuar said the values of philosophy were not so far removed from the five principles contained in Rukun Negara, including maintaining the supremacy of the Constitution as well as comity and morality.
He said philosophy is the government’s approach to forming a strong united nation and Malaysians also have a shared responsibility to ensure harmony in its multicultural society.
“Malaysians have to embrace (Malaysian family philosophy) at all levels and this will lead to (the formation of) national values.
“… it requires everyone’s commitment to accept (this philosophy) in a positive way and to translate it into their daily life,” he added.
Asked about his aspirations to empower people with disabilities (PwD), Annuar said he was determined to focus and prioritize the group within the context of the Malaysian family who champion the principle of leaving no one behind.
Throughout the hour-long show which began at 9 p.m. yesterday, Annuar interacted with @bernamadotcom Twitter followers who now have over 950,000 followers.
